Refund & Return Policy

Welcome to Psychedelic Society South Africa. We value customer satisfaction and comply with applicable South African consumer protection laws.

1. General Policy

Due to the nature of our products, we do not generally accept returns, exchanges, or refunds for:

  • Change of mind

  • Incorrect purchases made by the customer

  • Products that have been opened, used, damaged after delivery, or improperly stored

  • Personal preferences regarding taste, smell, effect, or experience

Please ensure that you carefully review product descriptions and ingredients before placing an order.

2. Defective or Incorrect Products

We will only accept returns or provide refunds where:

  • The product received is defective, damaged, contaminated, or expired upon delivery; or

  • The incorrect product was supplied by us.

Under the South African Consumer Protection Act, consumers are entitled to remedies for defective goods within 6 months of purchase.

If your order qualifies, we may offer, at our discretion and in accordance with applicable law:

  • A replacement product

  • Store credit

  • A refund to the original payment method

3. Reporting an Issue

To request assistance for a defective or incorrect item, you must contact us within 48 hours of delivery at:

Please include:

  • Your order number

  • Clear photographs of the product and packaging

  • A description of the issue

Failure to provide sufficient evidence may result in the claim being declined.

4. Return Conditions

Approved returns must:

  • Be unused except where necessary to identify a defect

  • Be returned in original packaging where possible

  • Include proof of purchase

We reserve the right to inspect all returned goods before approving a refund or replacement.

5. Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene, safety, and quality-control reasons, the following items cannot be returned unless defective:

  • Consumable products

  • Opened supplements

  • Herbal products

  • Any item marked as non-returnable on the website

6. Shipping Costs

  • If the return is due to our error or a verified defect, we will cover reasonable return shipping costs.

  • If a return is not approved under this policy, shipping costs are non-refundable.

7. Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed within 7–14 business days after the returned item has been inspected and approved.

Refund times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.

8. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA) or Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA).
