ABOUT THE CIRCLE SPEAKER:

Courtney Robert “Rob” is a psychedelic guide. His experience with plant and other therapeutic medicines spans over 12 years.

He has trained both in the formal realm and mentored ‘undergound’ to be a psychedelic guide & trip sitter who facilitates in-person and group ceremonial psychedelic experiences with an emphasis on harm reduction. As a facilitator his purpose is to foster and curate transformational journeys through the exploration of consciousness, which he believes to be a fundamental human right. He has experienced the transformational and healing benefits of using plant medicines and MDMA in safe spaces.

Courtney Robert understands that taking the first step towards having a meaningful psychedelic experience starts with creating a meaningful therapeutic alliance between the guide and the journeyer. An intentional psychedelic experience is a deeply personal one, shaped by your life story, values, thoughts, emotions, and beliefs. Much of the work associated with a psychedelic ceremony can leave you open and vulnerable, so it is vitally important that  it is with a facilitator you can trust to hold a safe, supportive, non-judgmental space in which for you to have your journey.

Courtney has worked and studied trauma and its effect on our physical and psychological bodies. He takes a body awareness approach when working with trauma. He has dedicated a lot of his work to working and healing trauma most notably with MDMA.

He is passionate to share what he has learned for the benefit of others who are seeking to do this work. Courtney is also passionate about story telling and how myth can be used to prepare an individual pre-session but to also integrate and guide the individual post the session.

He walks in both worlds and is still mentored by various indigenous healers as well as received training from MAPS, Integrative Psychology Institute, The Guiding Presence and has completed diplomas in Psychology and Therapy through ACS, Modern Applied Psychology and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. He has also studied the works of Peter Levine (“Somatic Experiencing”), Besel van Der Kolk and Gabor Mate. He is also initiated into the ‘water spirits’ with his beloved Baba MK.
