About the event
What does it look like to reclaim the power of your ancestral skill to have a conversation with any aspect of Nature?
And how does this create a coherent future with the rest of life on Earth?
The current crisis of perception that humans are disconnected from the rest of Nature underlies many decisions
that led to the metacrisis of ecological, social, political and economic problems. This has been identified by leaders
of all kinds, including indigenous wisdom carriers, spiritual teachers and western scientists.
The illusion of disconnect blocks access to wisdom within ourselves, other species and wider ecosystems, and is a
primary barrier to efficiently co-creating solutions with more-than-human consciousness, from microbial to cosmic.
Ecofluency begins to dissolve that illusion by mixing mirth into a logical, contemporary approach that helps to resurrect
this not-new field of Nature communication. This work expands our lived understanding of relationships with self, other
and the rest of the Universe.
Combining the science, art and magic of Nature communication, Dr Saskia von Diest draws on 14 years of academic research, client cases and personal stories in this talk. She will share how awakening an embodied remembrance that
we are Nature tends to the ancient wounds of rage and grief, and makes it easier to bridge the paradigm gap to communicating with trees, animals, fungi, mountains, rivers, and everyone else waiting for us to join the conversation.
If you join this experiential talk, expect enchantment.

Speaker
Dr Saskia von Diest is the founder of Ecofluency, an award-winning organisation that offers education, consulting, research and activism in communicating with Nature.
In 2012, an animal communication workshop during her PhD sparked her interest in how farmers use intuitive communication with Nature to inform practical management decisions. From 2014 to 2020 she held two postdoctoral fellowships, at Stellenbosch University in South Africa and Coventry University in the UK, investigating intuitive farming as part of a wider new field of subtle agroecology.
Throughout her postdoctoral years, she developed her own practice in communicating with trees, animals, landscapes, nature spirits and ancestors. She is also trained as a Family Constellations facilitator, and in energy field clearings for people, homes and landscapes.
Since officially launching in 2021, Ecofluency has appeared numerous times on media platforms including TV, sharing how co-creating solutions with the more-than-human will ensure a truly holistic future. Saskia is recognised as a leading voice in Nature communication globally, and won gold for innovation at the Eco-logic Awards in 2025.
With 18 years of experience in teaching and facilitating, Saskia works internationally with individuals and organisations, online and in person. She promotes other human voices in the field and is a founding member of Nature’s Council.
Her passion is creating experiences for humans to reclaim the power of our ancestral skills, to join the conversation with the rest of Nature once again, for personal transformation, planetary well-being and the evolution of our shared consciousness: www.ecofluency.org
